According to EETimes, Chinese multimedia software solution provider Cidana and Israel-based Siano, a fabless provider of semiconductor solutions for mobile TV, announced that they have teamed up for the development of mobile digital TV solutions based on the DVB-T (Digital Video Broadcasting-Terrestrial) standard. According to the same report, a new platform - supporting mobile handheld devices such as PDAs (Personal Digital Assistance) and Smartphones - will be showcased at the IBC (International Broadcasting Convention) in Amsterdam, from September 7 to 11, to demonstrate the integration of Siano's mobile TV receiver with Cidana's DVB-T software.
